About The Essential Option

Chemistry is the humming heart of life. Biochemistry is the root of the growing spirit that lives in our bodies. We and all living things have evolved on this earth, together. 

Plants have played an essential role in our lives as human beings. We have eaten them in the earliest years of our existence on our mother, Earth. We used them for their material properties to build protection from the hostile forces in this world. They fed us with their nutrients and gave us of their energy. They, more than any other material things brought colour and through that, brought beauty into our lives. 

And we learnt of their medicinal properties. They eased our discomforts and healed our disorders. Medicine developed out of them. We extracted from them many chemicals that gave us mastery of many of the monster diseases that beset the early centuries of our lives. 

One of the great gifts they gave to humankind were the oils they produced. The fragrances they brought forth have enriched our lives and eased our tribulations. We have learnt from them and through them, and by long and deep study, we have the discipline of Aroma Therapy.

It is my pleasure and privilege to bring to you some of the riches that the oils of plants have bestowed on us.
